Simplicity in Auto UI Design

Contrary to popular belief, design is not simply aesthetic styling. It is instead a process of thoughtful experimentation, balancing constraints and needs, in order to uncover a hidden solution. Design brings together art and engineering to elevate human experiences. In the age of the Internet of Things, vehicle interiors mirror the complexity of a connected life; the growing population of displays and controls, media and apps, push the limits of the driver’s physical and cognitive capacity. Design must apply a humanistic lens to reconcile the conflict, bridging art and engineering to deliver what is simple and enjoyable.
